Zetacast participated in the 134th meeting of MPEG, which was held online as a virtual meeting from 26 to 30 April 2021. It had originally been planned to hold this meeting in Geneva, but this plan had to be changed due to the difficulty of holding physical meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The development of video codecs now appears to be entering a quieter phase, since the specifications for VVC v1, EVC and LCEVC have all been completed, together with most of the corresponding verification test reports.
