Zetacast helped to represent Samsung at the 106th meeting of MPEG and the 15th meeting of JCT-VC, held at the ITU in Geneva from 23 October to 1 November 2013.

MPEG is the Moving Picture Experts Group of ISO/IEC, more formally designated ISO/IEC JTC1/SC29/WG11, which has been developing various standards for the coded representation of video, audio and related data since 1988. The Joint Collaborative Team on Video Coding (JCT-VC) is a joint activity between MPEG and VCEG, the ITU-T Study Group 16 Question 6, which is currently developing the High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard.
